The longest bridge in Europe

Azulejo and the old town are great, but today I want to show you a bit different side of charismatic Lisbon. Today I searched the base of the Vasco da Gama bridge in the Parque das Nações parish. I got out of metro in Oriente train terminal, which was build for the Expo ’98 and stayed there for another 20 minutes for sure. Then I discovered the glass building of Vasco da Gama shopping mall next to the station and went mad taking pictures again. I am a child of the concrete jungle, the beauty of the nature often does not affect me as much as cold unfriendly glass architecture.

Afterwards I walked along the Tagus river next to the cable cars in direction of the Vasco da Gama tower. Unfortunately, I could not go this way for long. I have never reached the bridge base because of the piercing wind, which for some unknown reason hasn’t stopped some people from jogging in shorts and tank tops. At one point I thought that I would be carried away to the magical Land of Oz and I would have to search a wizard to ask him for a new brain because my old one has been blown out by the wind.

I am a selfie expert (can’t you see how skilfully I adjusted the light?) in a knitted cap, which has proved itself totally useless as wind protection. [Me from the future says that this cap will be lost by the guy responsible for the wardrobe in the Rio de Lisboa club and this is the last picture of it I would ever be able to make]
